The Australian Research Council Training Centre for Innovative Wine Production (ARC TC-IWP) is pleased to be announced as a finalist in the 2019 South Australian Science Excellence Awards in the category for Excellence in Research Collaboration.

The ARC TC-IWP was first funded in 2013 and again in 2017 by the Australian Research Council through the Industrial Transformation Research Program.  The Centre’s research aims to tackle new and age-old challenges to wine production, through innovative, multi-disciplinary research as well as providing early career researchers with research training excellence.  The Centre is a collaboration between universities, research providers, government, wineries, suppliers, retailers and startups.

“This nomination would not have been possible without the efforts and successes of all involved across both the first and current TC-IWP Centres.  These Centres have allowed us to bring together an unprecedented number of partners under the umbrella of common research themes with the aim of benefiting this very significant Australian industry.

~ Professor Vladimir Jiranek, Centre Director
